Practical checklist

Voter guide

A useful guide is less fireworks, more checklist. Here is the straight path to being ready on election day.

1. Verify your voter status

Use the official INEC Voter Verification Service to confirm your record is active before election day. Do this early — corrections take time.

2. Confirm your polling unit

Check your state, local government, registration area, and exact polling unit using the official INEC locator. Know where you are going before the day arrives.

3. Understand public results

Use INEC's public result platform to follow published information. Do not rely on screenshots, forwarded messages, or unverified social media claims.
